180 degree rule -
Don't cut to camera shot on the wrong side of the line action or it will look like the character is talking to themselves and confuse the audience. You can only cross it in a continuous shot cirlcing the charcter to make it clear why the perspective has changed for the audience's benefit.
30 degree rule -
Tutorial on the 30 degree ruleIn order to avoid the transition looking like a jump cut you should always change the angle by at least 30 degrees. If you don't it will look messy and disgruntle the audience.
